Institut Ilmu Sosial dan Ilmu Politik Jakarta (The Institut of Social and Political Sciences Jakarta, henceforth IISIP Jakarta) published its first academic journal issue in 1996 in Jurnal Kampus Tercinta or JKT which published quarterly. In August 1996, JKT obtained its ISSN (0853-8794). JKT published until its third volume in 1996. In 2004, JKT changed its name to Jurnal ISIP in print edition which also obtained its ISSN (1693-9506). Jurnal ISIP published twice a year under the format of A5-sized paper with two columns. At the publication of its ninth volume in 2010, the journal adopted A4 as its standard publication size. Since 2019, in addition to its print edition, the journal has also been publishing articles in electronic version under the name of Jurnal ISIP: Institut Ilmu Sosial dan Ilmu Politik after obtaining an e-ISSN (2655-1985). The sixteenth volume was marked as the first online edition in an A4, two-column, PDF format.
